Free Siemens PLC Training Workshop, June 16-18

Siemens technology and processes are a staple in many Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) training programs – and for good reason. Siemens is a leader in motion control solutions that accelerate innovative and precise manufacturing processes.

To help educators build skills in leading edge industrial technologies, like PLC, Siemens is hosting a series of free summer workshops and we’re pleased to announce one of which is available to our local customers.

Here are the details:

When: June 16-18, 2015

Where: BridgeValley Community & Technical College (1201 Science Park Drive South Charleston WV 25303)

What: This will be a 3-day, technical, hands-on workshop that introduces school instructors from all levels to core industrial automation technologies.

The workshop will primarily focus on Siemens S7-1200 PLC and touch panel display featuring Siemens STEP 7 Professional V11 Portal software.  After completion of the course, students should be able to:

  • Troubleshooting and editor tools
  • Communication basics
  • Display panel (HMI) project basics

All attendees will receive a complete starter-kit from Siemens including PLC and software.

Who can attend? All levels of schools instructors can attend – technical high schools through universities. These workshops are exclusively for educators! Siemens does ask that a maximum of 2 participants from any school participate because space is limited.

How much does it cost? All workshops are “tuition free” to qualified instructors, however  travel expenses are up to the participant.
