PHOTOS: Inside Our Festo HVAC Workshops

We recently hosted a series of HVAC and Energy Management training workshops across Virginia and West Virginia.

The teachers who participated worked through a series of activities on Festo’s new  wireless technology Building Energy Management trainer.

We covered the main control schemes used in building energy management, including single-zone and multi-zone control, constant air volume (CAV) systems, and variable air volume (VAV) systems. The course materials we used covered topics like heating, cooling, free cooling, smoke detection, CO2 level detection, humidity control, and human-machine interfaces (HMI).

Thanks to our host schools Germanna Community College, Thomas Nelson Community College, New River Community College, and BridgeValley Community and Technical College.
