21ST CENTURY EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY guide

February means we're always looking for fun Valentine's Day themed projects for the classroom! Here are some of my favorites:

This month we're sharing with you a list of mechatronics equipment for secondary and post-secondary education. We've also got info on a new AR/VR product line we're carrying ideal for K-12 CTE, community college and university across TONS of different subject areas.

Oh, and check out some really cool 3D videos of the new Northern Virginia Community College Fab Lab we took at their official Ribbon-Cutting / Grand Opening VIP event last month. All that and more below...

List of Equipment for a
Mechatronics Lab

Amtek's Gary Daniels has updated his ideal List of Equipment for a Mechatronics Lab to help guide educators through what's needed to cover all your mechatronics learning concepts. The equipment is broken down by year as students progress from K-12 to college to the workforce.

NoVa CC Fab Lab

Check Out Northern Virginia Community College's New Fab Lab!

NOVA Community College just last month celebrated the opening of its brand new state-of-the-art Fab Lab. We took some 3D video of both the makerspace and woodshop (best viewed with a VR headset for the full effect!).

AR / VR in the Classroom

Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality in CTE Classrooms

The VR / AR training solutions from zSpace are some of the most realistic we've seen - plus the apps and curriculum are robust enough to cover all your learning concepts. We've summarized all the CTE learning areas these solutions cover at the link below. Contact us if you're interested in seeing pricing details!

3DP Case Study

Case Study: Foothill College Students 3D Print Exoskeleton for Preschooler

A testament to the power, creativity and compassion of students! College engineering students have made a difference in this child's life by 3D printing exoskeleton arms for him.

The device uses rubber bands to resist gravity and assist his own muscles in lifting and bending his arms so he gets stronger the more he uses it.
