In this month's newsletter, we're giving you a first look at Stratasys' newest 3D printer -- the first full color, multi-material 3D printer available on the market.

 

On the CTE side of things, we look at the new age of graphic arts communications programming -- and Gary Daniels investigates a common problem he sees in high school CTE programs: a teacher shortage. If your program is in danger of being shut down, he offers recommendations for broadening the applications of your CTE classroom or lab to keep the program alive.

Schools are broadening the applications of their CTE labs by bringing in additional teachers outside of the traditional CTE instructor umbrella.

$5,000 Grants for Higher Education Energy, Engineering and Technical Programs

The Dominion Foundation offers $5,000 higher education grants that cover a variety of subjects, including energy, engineering, craft and technical areas.

 

All counties in Virginia and West Virginia are eligible to apply + select counties in Maryland. The deadline to apply is May 31.

Last week Stratasys unveiled its newest 3D printer -- the J750 that prints in full color, photo-realistic and multi-material.

 

You can choose from more than 360,000 different color shades plus multiple material properties - ranging from rigid to flexible and opaque to transparent.

The New Age of CTE Graphic Communications Arts Programs

In graphic arts communications programs, students must learn techniques like offset lithography, digital, and screen printing processes.
