PHOTOS: Inside our STEM Bootcamp for Educators

Last week we headed to Chesterfield Career and Technical Center@Hull for a full day of STEM learning with local educators in our STEM Bootcamp for Educators, a workshop for teaching STEM in 3D.

Attendees received a crash course in SolidWorks CAD design software, Stratasys and MakerBot 3D printing, Denford CNC machines, and Universal Laser Systems. Next they were given the floor to design and build a trebuchet in teams.

The competition was fierce and the teams brought out their best to create a trebuchet that could launch a projectile the farthest. (Big thanks to MakerBot for awarding each member of the winning team with Amazon gift cards and to SolidWorks for donating a copy of SolidWorks Student Edition to every attendee!)

Check out some photos from the event below.
