Photos: Testing out the MakerBot Experimental Extruder with Local Educators

We spent last week with the folks from MakerBot, touting around the new MakerBot Experimental Extruder. A week of training workshops at The University of Delaware, Montgomery College, Highland Springs High School and Virginia Western Community College gave educators in the area a chance to tinker with the new extruders before they start shipping.

The training covered SolidWorks CAD design, the capabilities of the new extruder, a range of materials that can be used with the extruders (although we primarily focused on Colorfabb Woodfill) and we had a friendly little competition of who could design and print a boat that could hold the most pennies.

Here are a few photos from the workshops. If you want to get your hands on a new MakerBot Experimental Extruder, contact us.
