Revamping Crossland High School’s Barbering Lab

Background

Crossland High School recognized the need to update their barbering lab to create a modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment for their students. The school aimed to provide a professional setting that would better prepare students for careers in barbering. To achieve this, they partnered with us to redesign and refurnish the lab.

Implementation

We began the project by meeting with school administrators and the barbering instructor to discuss their vision for the lab. The goal was to create a space that not only looked and felt professional but also facilitated effective teaching and learning. After understanding their requirements, we measured the room and designed a layout that included all new furniture. This encompassed barbering stations, chairs, and classroom furniture for lectures, ensuring that the space was both functional and conducive to learning.

Coordination was key to the successful execution of this project. We scheduled the delivery of all the furniture to ensure it arrived on time. Additionally, we worked closely with the school’s local electrician to meet all power requirements for the new stations and equipment. This collaboration ensured that the electrical setup was safe and up to code. Once the furniture was delivered, we oversaw the installation process, working alongside the electrician to ensure everything was properly set up.

Outcome

The end result was a completely revamped barbering lab that exuded a modern, professional look. The new barbering stations and chairs provided students with a real-world salon experience, while the updated classroom furniture created a comfortable environment for theoretical instruction. This new setup was not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, offering students everything they needed to learn and practice their skills effectively.

Crossland High School’s updated barbering lab now serves as an ideal training ground for future barbers, equipping them with the knowledge and hands-on experience required to succeed in the workforce. The successful completion of this project demonstrated the importance of collaboration and careful planning in transforming educational spaces.
