Flange Bolt Torquing Trainer
Model Number: 225-000
Realistic hands-on training in bolted joint torquing, gasket selection, and torque wrench use.
Overview
DAC Worldwide’s Flange Bolt Torquing Trainer (225-000) is a heavy-duty learning aide that allows for in-depth training in bolted joint torquing, gasket selection/usage, and torque wrench usage. Through the use of internally gauged studs and associated instrumentation, the trainer allows learners to see “scatter” resulting from errors, like improper torquing procedures, improper fastener care, lubrication variables, and gasket variations.
Using this trainer, learners will explore the usage and torque of many common industrial components, such as bolted joints, flanges, wrenches, and gaskets. Learners will use these industrial-grade components to study topics such as mechanical principles, alternate seals/gaskets, lubrication, and maintenance. Not only do the components provide durability to stand up to frequent use, but they also aide learners in becoming better prepared for the tasks they will encounter on the job.
This basic mechanical training system includes an assortment of gasket types, gasket adapter plates, and lubricants, which allow for a variety of hands-on exercises. The trainer also provides skill-building for industry-relevant tasks, like creating a flanged pipe joint, fabricating flange gaskets, and how to make a flanged pipe joint using a full-face gasket, an o-ring, and spiral wound gaskets.
Want everything in one order? A package (PAC) version of this training system is available that bundles every piece of hardware needed to run it — see the variants below. The items this standalone version requires are listed under Requirements on this page.

Hands-On Training
Learners work directly with industrial-grade bolted joints, flanges, wrenches, gaskets, internally gauged studs, and instrumentation to build practical mechanical skills. The system is designed for repeated use and helps learners prepare for real job tasks by using durable, realistic components.
- Practice using torque wrenches
- Observe and understand torque scatter in bolted joints
- Prepare and assemble a correct flanged pipe joint
- Work with alternate gasket types, including full-face gaskets, o-rings, and Flexitallic gaskets
- Fabricate flange gaskets and compare sealing approaches
Curriculum
A copy of the course’s Student Training Manual and Textbook is included with the training system. The Student Training Manual combines the technical content contained in the learning objectives into one perfectly-bound book. The IPT Industrial Fasteners textbook presents clear objectives and performance standards for learners.
