Three Dimensional Drag Models
Model Number: AF1300J
Compare drag coefficients across five shapes with identical 50 mm frontal area.
Overview
Five drag investigation models for use with the TecQuipment AF1300 wind tunnel: a streamlined shape, a sphere, hemisphere, “dimpled” sphere, and a flat plate. All the models have a 50 mm frontal area to allow students to compare the different coefficient of drag for each shape. Includes a dummy stem for tests to cancel out the drag due to each model’s support arm.
