Who is eligible to compete?
Students around the world can submit for the following categories:
- Engineering: Secondary Education – This category is open to students in middle or high schools worldwide
- Engineering: Post-Secondary – This category is open to students enrolled at a university, college or post-secondary school worldwide
- Art and Architecture – This category is open to students worldwide of any grade level
How do I submit an entry?
Individual students or two-person teams must create designs using 3D CAD software and submit their design files in .STL format to Stratasys, along with a written description and/or a 30-second video explaining the value and benefit of the Extreme Redesign model. The description of your original design should include:
- The current product you’re redesigning (or the current way something is done)
- The weakness of the current product or situation
- Why and how your design will improve on the existing solution
- Images and/or screen shots of your design (encouraged, but not required)
* The way you describe your new design is critical. It is recommend you have someone unfamiliar with the project review it for improvement before submission!
What is the deadline?

How will entries be judged?

- Sound mechanical design and part integrity
