Many of our customers are interested in making custom chocolate molds with their vacuum formers.

This is a classroom project idea not only suited for culinary arts CTE programs, but also something any class can embark on — whether for Valentine’s Day, school spirit / fundraising / bake sales, or simply a fun, edible project to get students excited about the technology.

In this video, Balin Pagadala, Designer at Culinary FX, talks through some simple ways of producing custom molds, including cutting and shaping foam on a hot wire cutter, and forming on the Formech Compac Mini.

Want to take this idea a step further and incorporate your makerspace’s CNC machine? Why not follow our tutorial on how to Create a Custom Box of Chocolates for Your Valentine (downloadable files included).
